Time Deposit
A Time Deposit is a form of savings account or money deposit that is purposefully held at a financial institution for a specified duration. The investor or holder of the Time Deposit cannot withdraw until the specified time period has passed, after passing there is the option of extending the Time Deposit for a further period.
